Arsene Wenger again came under fire from furious fans but he wasn’t the only one.

Mesut Ozil had a dismal performance, Granit Xhaka struggled in midfield and the back four of Hector Bellerin, Shkodran Mustafi, Gabriel and Nacho Monreal failed to contain the attacking threat of the Eagles.

It wasn’t long before Gunners supporters were venting their anger, with Dave among them.

He called up talkSPORT’s Sports Bar to tear into Wenger and his side.

Arsene Wenger came under criticism again after the Crystal Palace defeat

"Do you think Granit [Xhaka] is a £35million player – no,” he said.

"Do you think Shkodran Mustafi is a £35million player – no.

"We had six players that passed sideways and that defence is like a bunch of 10-year-olds – it is embarrassing.

"And what makes it worse is that he [Arsene Wenger] like a stupid megalomaniac that the board and him can’t see that it is done.

Luka Milivojević scored a sublime penalty to put his side

"There was nothing there and [Mesut] Ozil wanting £300,000 a week? I wouldn’t give him £30,000 a week.

"It is an embarrassment.”

The result left Arsenal in sixth position – seven points away from fourth-placed Manchester City and a coveted Champions League spot.

And they will need to watch over their back – with an in form Everton on a high after their impressive 4-2 victory over Leicester at the weekend.
