Foxes fans prepared for the biggest night in the club's history.

But while Craig Shakespeare's men got ready for the game, footage showed supporters taking to Madrid's main square necking booze and singing war chants.

Fans could be heard singing "Spanish b*****ds Gilbraltar is ours" – referencing the recent diplomatic row over the Rock between Britain and Spain – as desperate police tried to calm the situation.

The club has lodged an official complaint about the nature of the policing.

Riot police scrambled to the scene.

Topless Brits could be seen soaking up the rays and making the most of the Spanish weather as chaos continued.

Fabian Picardo, Gibraltar's Chief Minister, has since slammed Leicester supporters.

He said: "This behaviour is not helpful to Gibraltar and our just cause. I condemn it on behalf of all the peaceful people of Gibraltar."

It comes after eight Leicester fans were arrested last night over clashes with cups.

And earlier, video footage emerged of Foxes fans storming the bar on a train to Madrid from Malaga.

Spanish newspaper Marca added that the scene was a "pitch battle" between fans and police.

Police were reportedly called to "disperse some drunken, loud Leicester fans who were deemed to be causing a disturbance".

People said they were left battered and bruised after being hit on the head, arms and knees.

The heightened security comes as multiple bombs targeted Borussia Dortmund's coach before their tie against Monaco in Germany.

Leicester City play Atletico Madrid tonight at 7.45pm in the Vicente Calderon.
