Pablo Zabaleta is a honourary Mancunian for life.

Man City's departing right-back has reportedly become the latest player to donate money to victims of the Manchester attack.

Many children were among the 22 who died and 59 who suffered injuries when a bomb went off at an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena.

Among those who escaped unharmed were Pep Guardiola's wife and two daughters.

The city of Manchester displayed incredible unity in the wake of the attack.

And Zabaleta showed just why he is so respected in his adoptive city by donating £90,000 from his final match fee.

The Argentine ended his nine-year association with the Etihad club on Sunday, and showed just how much the city meant to him with one final act of extraordinary kindness.

In the immediate aftermath of the horror, Zabaleta offered his condolences to the victims on Twitter along with many other players and tens of thousands around the world.

The 32-year-old posted: "My thoughts go out to all those affected by this horrific tragedy. #prayformachester".

Earlier, Yaya Toure and his agent had confirmed they would make an incredible donation of £100,000 to the victims of the tragedy.

Man United's players held a minute's silence and cancelled their pre-Europa League final press conference as a sign of respect.
