Man Utd make £36m bid for Ivan Perisic: Inter Milan demanding more as Chelsea enter race

MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly tabled an opening offer of £36m for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.

United boss Jose Mourinho is said to be a huge fan of the Croatia international and wants him as one of four marquee signings this summer.

Sky Sports claim the Red Devils have launched a bid for the 28-year-old.

They claim a £36m offer has been tabled but that falls well short of Inter's valuation.

The Serie A giants are demanding between £48m and £52m for their star but are willing to sell this summer.

Sky Sports add that United's Premier League rivals Chelsea are also interested in Perisic and will battle it out with Mourinho and co for his signature.

Perisic, who joined Inter from Wolfsburg in 2015, is under contract in Milan until 2020.

Inter are keen to sell some of their stars to help fund a squad revamp before the start of next season.

The San Siro giants suffered a disappointing seventh-place finish in the league this term and want to freshen up their ranks in the upcoming transfer window.

And the Italians are open to letting Perisic go at the right price.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund ace scored ten goals and provided six assists in the league this season.
