Rene Meulensteen hailed Man Utd target Ivan Perisic
That's the view of former Red Devils assistant coach Rene Meulensteen.
The Inter Milan star has been tipped to leave the Italian giants for a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks.
Reports today even suggested the winger is a huge fan of Jose Mourinho and expects to join United this summer.
Perisic, 28, is said to be content with life in Milan but he's keen to make the switch to England.
And Meulensteen has hailed the Serie A star, claiming he would be the ideal signing for Mourinho.
"Perisic has good experience and pace and could come in and create things," Meulensteen told 888sport.
"He is comfortable on the ball, can beat a man and has a fantastic pass."
"It’s important that United have a man who can open up defences with one pass and he has that."
"He can offer them another level of a goal threat."
