Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a target for Liverpool
The Kop's chief executive Peter Moore has joked with fans on Twitter that a potential deal would not be financially viable because of the Gabon ace's long name.
Liverpool have been linked with the Borussia Dortmund striker for some time.
But he won't come cheap and finances were clearly at the front of Moore's mind in his tongue-in-cheek Twitter exchange.
A Liverpool fan tweeted Moore: "If Aubameyang is available for £63million as reported (and would come) please get him!
"You could recoup most of the money in shirts".
Moore replied: "All the profits would disappear with the cost of lettering the shirts…"
Aubameyang has hinted he's looking to leave this summer.
He said: "If I want to go to the next level, I need to leave in the summer."
And Dortmund's chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke admitted the club would be prepared to do a deal for £63m.
He explained: "We will listen to it when a club is willing to show its appreciation for Aubameyang in a financial way as well."
"If an official bid were to reach more than £63m, it would have to be reported as a necessary to proceed."
"This has not happened so far."
