ARSENAL star Alexis Sanchez is interested in working under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, according to reports.

Sanchez looks primed to leave Arsenal despite Arsene Wenger being determined to keep him at the Emirates for one more year.

His current contract expires in 12 months time and, despite Arsenal's best efforts, he is yet to put pen to paper on an extension.

Manchester City are among the clubs hellbent on securing his signature.

Pep Guardiola previously managed Sanchez during his time in charge of Barcelona, where the pair helped the Catalan giants win La Liga and the Copa del Rey.

And Sky Sports claim Sanchez is interested in a reunion at the Etihad.

City have already had a busy summer - splashing out £130million on full-backs alone.

Guardiola now wants to turn his attentions to bolstering their frontline and think Sanchez can win City the Premier League title next season.

Sky Sports add, however, that Paris Saint-Germain are willing to pay more than £40million to lure him to France.

It is said Unai Emerys's side are yet to bid for the player but are prepared to spend big to ensure Sanchez moves to France.

Wenger confidently claimed earlier this week that Arsenal will not let Sanchez go.

"Has he asked to leave? No. PSG can't get Sanchez, so they are going for Neymar," he said.

"My mind has been made up for a while now. I think I've made it clear a few times; that this is my stance.

"We are in a strong financial position. Sanchez has got one year to go on his contract and we have no need to make money.

"He will be part of the team next year and after that I can understand it."
