The Manchester United manager pops into Tesco following yesterday's 4-0 thrashing over West Ham at Old Trafford.

Basking alongside Mourinho in the glory of United's opening Premier League victory is assistant Ricardo Formosinho.

The Red Devils hope to have set the tone of their season with a rampant display against the Hammers.

United new-boy Romelu Lukaku scored twice before Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba got in on the action.

Questions were raised when defender Victor Lindelof – a £31million summer signing from Benfica – was dropped from the squad despite playing against Real Madrid in the Uefa Super Cup on August 8.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho enjoyed the perfect start to the Premier League season yesterday

But Mourinho believes the Swede, 23, needs time to adjust to English football.

He explained: "I think Real Madrid [in the Uefa Super Cup] was too early for him.

"He played because Jones and Bailly were both suspended.

"I've had players coming from different leagues to the Premier League and, normally, it's not easy. It's different for Lukaku and Matic as they have had years and years in the Premier League.
