Paulinho won't play against Betis because of bureaucratic problems

Ernesto Valverde will not be able to call on Paulinho's services in Barcelona's season opener against Real Betis, bureaucratic issues to blame for the Brazilian's delayed start.

The two clubs have still not finished processing and exchanging all of the necessary documentation, leading to an embarrassing situation for the Catalans.

Andres Iniesta is still out, but Gerard Pique, who was doubtful after receiving a blow in the Supercopa de Espana, has been picked for the squad.
