Peterborough's 100% start to League One season ended with Doncaster draw

Peterborough United saw their 100 per cent League One winning run ended as they battled out an enthralling 0-0 draw with Doncaster.
The clash was finely poised throughout with both sides enjoying good spells of pressure and producing decent attacking play.
However, both teams struggled to truly test the opposing goalkeeper on a day when clear cut chances were few and far between.
Doncaster started the stronger and should have been ahead when John Marquis was presented with a clear shot from a Jack Baldwin error but tamely hit straight at Jonathan Bond.
Peterborough's Marcus Maddison came closest to breaking the deadlock when he hit the crossbar with a superb curling effort from close to 30 yards.
The visitors grew into the game and swarmed forward with pace and power but it was Doncaster who had the better of the second half, keeping Peterborough at bay well and attacking quickly themselves.
Ben Whiteman drilled a shot narrowly wide while substitute Andy Williams was blocked on the line after reaching a Matty Blair cross.
