Pro-Catalan independence banner unveiled at the Camp Nou

It is no surprise that political messages were once again displayed at the Camp Nou, with a pro-Catalan independence banner unveiled just before kick-off on Saturday evening.
The banner comes in the wake of official news that on October 1 a referendum will be held in Catalonia with regards to independence for the region.
In addition, there were also chants in favour of separation with shouts of 'we will vote, we will vote' breaking out in the 17th minute of play.
Barcelona joined the campaign back in May, whilst local rivals Espanyol are yet to make clear their official position on the issue.
