Prolific RB Leipzig winger Emil Forsberg says he is looking forward to the challenge and honour of playing in the UEFA Champions League in 2017/18.
Last season Forsberg's incredible 19 Bundesliga assists and eight league goals propelled the Red Bulls to a second place finish behind seemingly perennial champions FC Bayern München.
As a result, the Saxony-based outfit have been drawn to face Besiktas, Monaco and Porto in Group G of the Champions League. They begin their campaign on Wednesday at the Red Bull Arena against French champions Monaco.
The Sweden international told the Bundesliga's official website, "I played in the group stage with Malmo in 2014/15, with games against Juventus and Atletico Madrid. It was a great experience.
"We all look forward to it, especially the anthem shortly before the whistle. That gives you goose bumps. I grew up with this anthem. I was ten years old when I first heard it.
"If you hear it because you are out on the pitch, then it’s all the more special. We’ll enjoy every minute."
