BARCELONA superstar Lionel Messi has shown off a new tattoo.

And it's a rather intimate one… of his wife's lips just above his groin.

Messi and Antonella Roccuzzo have been together since their teenage years

The star has continued to add tattoos in recent years and now boasts a full sleeve on his right arm, while the whole of his left calf is also covered.

But now Messi has added another small but significant bit of ink to his torso.

The 30-year-old now boasts the puckered red lips of new wife Antonella Roccuzzo.

The tattoo is just above his groin, on the hip area that bodybuilders call 'Adonis' Belt'.

Messi married childhood sweetheart Antonella earlier this summer, at a stunning reception in Argentina.

Messi and Antonella's reception was dubbed the 'wedding of the century' in Argentina as sports stars and the South American A-list arrived for the bash.

Luis Suarez even gatecrashed the honeymoon in the Caribbean.

Spanish then revealed that Messi's great summer was carrying on, after reporting that Antonella is pregnant with a third child.

The Messis already have two sons, Thiago and Mateo.

Despite the departure of Neymar for a record-breaking £198million to Paris Saint-Germain, the Barca No 10 has made a stunning start to the season.

Ernesto Valverde's side have won all three of their matches, with Messi scoring five goals this season.

He scored both in the 2-0 win at Alaves before the international break and followed that with a hat-trick against local rivals Espanyol at the weekend.

Valverde said: "I am happy for Leo who scored three goals and is extraordinary

"We pulled through a complicated game, because these kinds of matches are always tough. Despite the result, it wasn't easy.

"Espanyol fought very well, but we have great players like Messi, who scored three goals, and Suárez, who gave everything like the rest of the team."
