St Mirren returned to winning ways with a 3-1 home victory against Queen of the South.
The Saints saw their five-match winning streak in all competitions ended by Scottish Championship leaders Dunfermline last weekend, but they got back on track on Sunday, with Cameron Smith and Lewis Morgan back on the score sheet.
Smith opened the scoring after 24 minutes with his fifth league goal of the season, sliding a low shot beneath the goalkeeper. Morgan extended the lead three minutes later with an effort from the edge of the penalty area.
Derek Lyle spurned a good opportunity for Queen of the South early in the second half before Morgan took his goal tally for the campaign to eight with another long-range strike.
Stephen Dobbie worked home goalkeeper Craig Samson and the visitors got a goal back shortly afterwards when Jason Kerr headed home.
Callum Fordyce threatened to reduce the deficit further, but Samson produced a good save as Saints regained second spot behind Dunfermline.
