Livingston close in on Championship pacesetters with win over Dumbarton

Livingston closed to within three points of the Ladbrokes Championship summit with a 2-1 win over Dumbarton at the Almondvale Stadium.
The home side went ahead after 19 minutes when Alan Lithgow met Joshua Mullin's corner with a bullet of a diving header.
Livingston keeper Neil Alexander had to be alert to keep out Dimitris Froxylias' free-kick after half-time, while at the other end Scott Pitman felt he should have had a penalty after being bundled over in the box.
The equaliser came with 14 minutes remaining - Tom Walsh's effort taking a deflection which left Alexander stranded - but another set-piece proved Dumbarton's undoing as Craig Halkett headed in an 85th-minute corner.
