Chelsea's Eden Hazard is Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane's first choice to replace Gareth Bale
The Wales superstar faces an uncertain future at the Bernabeu.
After a mountain of injury problems, Real are reportedly set to sell Bale next summer.
The 28-year-old could well return to the Premier League, with long-term admirers Manchester United, former club Tottenham and even Chelsea possible destinations.
And it is the Blues who face losing out as a result of Bale's situation.
According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Chelsea winger Hazard is Zidane's top target.
It is believed that the Belgium international, who won the PFA Player of the Year award in 2015, would add the necessary quality to Madrid's attack.
A striker is wanted too, with Tottenham ace Harry Kane and Juventus' Paulo Dybala on their radar.
But in the hunt for a new No.11, Hazard is seen as the ideal man.
Don Balon add Zidane has been asking and pushing for his signing.
And even Hazard has been open in his desire to play under the France legend.
The Chelsea forward has not hesitated to let his admiration for hero Zidane be known.
It remains to be seen if Stamford Bridge chiefs will successfully keep Hazard out of Madrid's clutches next year.
