Man Utd target Juventus ace Paulo Dybala: Jose Mourinho confident of £60m deal - EXCLUSIVE
Manchester United are poised to sign Juventus star Paulo Dybala

Starsport can reveal Mourinho has targeted the attacking midfielder and is confident of luring him to Manchester United next summer.

The 24-year-old joined Juve from Palermo for £30m in 2015 and helped the Italian giants win three trophies in his first season.

He has gone on to help fill the void created when Paul Pogba left Juve to return to United in a club record £100m deal last summer.

Mourinho is desperate to sign a new No.10 with him still to be convinced by Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan's failure to make an impact at Old Trafford.

The United boss is prepared to let Mkhitaryan leave to make room for Dybala and will sell him at the end of this season.

Mourinho believes Dybala will be the perfect fit for his side, due to his impressive pace, technique and creativity.

He has won 12 Argentinean caps and is expected to be in their squad for next summer's World Cup in Russia.

La Joya - or the Jewel in Spanish - is also a target of Bayern Munich and Barcelona, who view him as a long term replacement for Neymar.

But Manchester United are in pole position to land him after appointing Javier Ribalta as their head scout in the summer.

Ribalta was lured to United from Juve, where he was head of scouting and had a close relationship with Dybala.

Meanwhile, United have made a new and improved offer to Marouane Fellaini in a bid to keep him at Old Trafford.

The Belgium ace turned down United's two-year offer in September and has threatened to run down his current deal before leaving on a free at the end of this season.

Fellaini will be able to negotiate with foreign clubs next month and there is strong interest from Besiktas and Roma.

But Mourinho is desperate to keep someone he values highly and wants United to pull out all the stops to reach an agreement with the former Everton ace.

Fellaini earns £120,000-a-week and United are believed to have made him a take-it-or-leave-it offer of around £150,00-a-week to stay.
