Wolves vs Brentford - Danny Batth to miss home match with Brentford
Posted Monday, January 01, 2018 by PA
Wolves captain Danny Batth starts a three-game ban when the Sky Bet Championship leaders host Brentford.
The defender was sent off in Saturday's 2-1 win at Bristol City and misses the league fixtures against the Bees and Barnsley as well as the weekend's FA Cup visit of Swansea.
Ryan Bennett, who scored the last-minute winner at Ashton Gate after coming off the bench, is likely to replace Batth.
Goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has not played this season after being diagnosed with acute leukaemia in the summer and defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh is recovering from ankle surgery.
Alan Judge could make his first Brentford appearance since April 2016.
The Irish midfielder is finally fit after recovering from a broken leg and has twice been an unused sub over Christmas.
The Bees have taken nine points from their last three games so boss Dean Smith will keep changes to a mimimum.
But forward Ollie Watkins is in line to return to the starting line-up after shaking off a foot injury to come off the bench in Saturday's 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday.
