Juan Cala fires Getafe beyond miserable Malaga

Juan Cala's second-half goal earned Getafe a 1-0 victory over a Malaga side who remain in big trouble near the foot of the LaLiga table.
Cala powered home a header in the 73rd minute after Angel Rodriguez had cushioned a deep free-kick back to the edge of Malaga's six-yard box.
That goal means Getafe have now picked up 16 points from their last six matches at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez and it lifts them up to eighth ahead of the weekend games.
It is a different story for Malaga, though. The Andalusian side, who were seconds away from reaching the Champions League semi-finals five years ago, are five points adrift of safety after suffering a fourth successive loss.
Malaga coach Michel, the former Getafe boss, saw his side go close through Jose Recio early on and they were denied by a fine Damian Martinez save from Adrian after the break, but it was his previous employers who would make the decisive breakthrough in a game of few clear-cut chances.
