Eastleigh beat Hartlepool in seven-goal thriller

Chris Zebroski’s hat-trick helped Eastleigh overcome struggling Hartlepool 4-3 at Ten Acres in a breathtaking affair.
Michael Woods gave the visitors the ideal start from Nicky Deverdics’ cross, but Ayo Obileye equalised when he headed in a corner.
Woods put Hartlepool back in front with a reaction header, but Zebroski levelled for Eastleigh on the stroke of half-time when he turned home Sam Matthews’ corner.
Zebroski then won the match for the hosts with two more – a close-range volley, and then a tidy finish following build-up play by Matthews and substitute James Constable.
Conor Newton pulled one back for Hartlepool to no avail late on. Pools’ Carl Magnay was also sent off for dissent, capping a remarkable afternoon.
