Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth lauded his side as they moved up to second in the Sky Bet League Two table with a 3-2 win at leaders Luton.
Goals from Nathan Tyson (2) and Paris Cowan-Hall were enough for the Chairboys to take all three points.
Ainsworth said: “I’m so proud of the boys, the things we set out to do, I thought we were fantastic.
“Scott Brown in goal has made some crucial saves, but we’ve got something special here. I’m really proud, the boys have give absolutely everything, and we score goals, we said that.
“There’s a little issue about scoring more than the opposition, I’d like us to get nil at times, but when we go away to somewhere like this, against a team and a club of this size, and this resources.
“They need to be out of the division, they’re massive, they’re a big, big club and they will be out of this division this year, no doubt.
“But for us tonight is a special night, a great, great match for everyone involved.”
Luton chief Nathan Jones was not happy with the way his side defended.
He said: “It was a wonderful advert for football if you’re a neutral in terms of end-to-end stuff, chances at both ends, but from my point of view, naive defending has cost us the game.
“Going forward, we had no problem, I thought we were very good in possession. We created enough chances to have won the game, it’s just defensively, we were very, very poor.
“To concede a goal after a minute, we lost the ball in their half, we didn’t go with the runner.
“Then the one who robbed it, he had more desire to get back into that area and he scored and that was symptomatic of us first half.
“Then we concede from a set-play, a poor set-play, second phase set-play and we can’t show them any more info as they win that.
“Especially with (Adebayo) Akinfenwa, we didn’t defend well enough. We gave ourselves an opportunity, but we came out and in possession second half we were very good, then they scored off a counter attack.
“They’re avoidable goals because we’re in possession.”
