Illness hits Shrewsbury squad ahead of Gillingham clash

Shrewsbury’s preparations for the Sky Bet League One home clash with Gillingham on Tuesday have been hit by illness in the camp.
Boss Paul Hurst revealed four players had missed training on Monday because of feeling unwell and that “a bunch” of others were training despite illness.
The Shrews have lost each of their last two home matches, with Rotherham winning 1-0 at the Montgomery Waters Meadow on Saturday, a result which left Hurst’s men a point clear of second-placed Wigan having played two games more.
Plymouth won 2-1 on their visit a week earlier, Shrewsbury triumphing at Fleetwood in between those two games.
Gillingham could have captain Lee Martin back involved after he missed Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Walsall.
The midfielder, who took a kick on the foot in training last Thursday, is rated at 50/50.
Defender Alex Lacey is set to sit things out again as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.
And Billy Bingham (leg) is another player who remains unavailable.
