Jose Mourinho has lavished praise on Willian, who he labelled the "cream of the crop" following the recent showdown between Manchester United and Chelsea at Old Trafford.
United ran out narrow 2-1 winners, through goals from ex-Blue Romelu Lukaku and Jesse Lingard, after initially falling behind courtesy of Willian's fifth league goal of the season.
Mourinho, who enjoyed three seasons with the Brazilian international at Stamford Bridge, still remains a fan, and had nothing but positive words to say about him when interviewed by ESPN Brasil.
"Do you want to talk about Willian?" he said, via the Manchester Evening News.
"Top, cream of the crop, he's amazing. In his national team there's no bad players.
"The Brazil manager (Tite) is really good with huge club experience. You guys will do great things in Russia [at the World Cup]."
Willian under Mourinho
The 29-year-old Brazilian forward, whose present deal at the Bridge expires in June 2020, was last summer linked with a reunion with Mourinho.
Since joining Chelsea from Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala in the summer of 2013, after being heavily linked with Tottenham Hotspur, Willian featured across 114 matches in all competitions under the Portuguese tactician.
In those outings Willian registered 15 goals and created a further 15 for his teammates as the Blues lifted the Premier League and League Cup in Mourinho's second spell.
