Tottenham fans rage against Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka

Tottenham fans vs Arsenal's Granit Xhaka

Throughout the season, in basically every game Tottenham compete in, their fans hear calls for Dele Alli and Harry Kane to be banned.

The Tottenham twosome have been branded as divers.

Alli is the more egregious offender. He's already been booked three times this season for diving.

Kane has been singled out by Liverpool fans following the 2-2 draw at Anfield earlier this year.

But on Sunday it was the turn of Tottenham fans to point finger at Arsenal's Granit Xhaka.

Granit Xhaka dive vs Brighton

Arsenal lost 2-1 at Brighton on Sunday in the Premier League.

As the Gunners tried to claw themselves back into the game, Swiss international Granit Xhaka tried to win a penalty early in the second half.

Xhaka worked his way into the Brighton box, and Dale Stephens swung a boot towards the Arsenal midfielder.

But Stephens never touched Xhaka. That was clear as day, yet Xhaka still flung himself to the turf in 'agony'.

Ref Stuart Atwell was perfectly placed to see the incident, and the official avoided being conned into giving a penalty.

But why wasn't Xhaka booked for diving? He was already on a yellow card, and that would have lead to his dismissal and suspension.

Spurs fans took to social media to blast the Xhaka decision.
