Ipswich will assess winger Muzzy Carayol ahead of the Sky Bet Championship match against Sheffield United.
The Gambia international, who signed as a free agent in January, went off with a suspected groin problem during the first half of Tuesday night’s win at Sheffield Wednesday.
Freddie Sears impressed when coming off the bench at Hillsborough, so could be in contention to start. Defender Tristan Nydam has been stepping up his match fitness after a recent illness, along with Myles Kenlock and midfielder Kevin Bru, so all may come into consideration.
Midfielder Tom Adeyemi (hamstring) also continues his recovery, but forward David McGoldrick (groin) is set to miss the rest of the campaign. Goalkeeper Dean Gerken (hip), Emyr Huws and Andre Dozzell (both knee) are long-term absentees.
Sheffield United will check on the fitness of striker Leon Clarke, who has a hamstring problem.
Jamaican frontman Clayton Donaldson came into the attack for the midweek defeat at Fulham and is on standby to lead the line again.
Forward James Wilson has been out with an ankle injury but is close to a return and could make the trip.
Midfielder Paul Coutts (knee) remains a long-term absentee.
