SERGIO AGUERO nipped out to Cheshire for a spot of lunch as Manchester City prepare to face Stoke at the bet365 Stadium tonight.

While Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah enjoyed some coffee just up the road as the 25-year-old looks to get over the Reds' 2-1 defeat against Manchester United.

Aguero, 29, will miss the Citizens' clash against the Potters after being ruled out for the next two weeks with a knee injury.

The Argentinian international is expected to be fully fit when Pep Guardiola's men welcome the Red Devils to the Etihad on April 7.

He will be hoping to have better luck than Salah did when City come up against United.

The former Roma ace was unable to score against a club inside the top six for the first time this season, as Jurgen Klopp's men dropped from third to fourth in the table.

But he looked to get over his heartache as he headed down to Alderley Edge, while Aguero was spotted at the swanky Victor's restaurant.

England international Jesse Lingard was a notable guest at the chic Cheshire establishment only recently.

A win for City against Stoke tonight will see the Carabao Cup holders edge closer to claiming their third Premier League crown.

Guardiola's side will be looking to bounce back after defeat in the Champions League against Basel last time out.

City are unbeaten in the top-flight since suffering a 4-3 defeat at Anfield on January 14, where Salah's winner was enough to condemn the 2011 FA Cup winners to their only league defeat this campaign.

In other news, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has been dropped from Sky Sports' Monday Night Football later this evening after footage emerged of the Champions League winner spitting in the face of a 14-year-old girl.
