Mohamed Salah: Cesc Fabregas makes bold transfer prediction for Liverpool star
Mohamed Salah has had an incredible debut campaign at Liverpool

CESC FABREGAS has made a bold prediction about Mohamed Salah's future at Liverpool.

Salah has taken the Premier League by storm and he has seen his stock soar significantly after an incredible debut campaign.

Although there were initial doubts when he joined Liverpool from Roma for £37million last summer, the Egyptian hitman has quashed these with 43 goals in all competitions this term and he was named PFA Player of the Year last Sunday.

A double in the 5-2 Champions League semi-final first leg win over his former club at Anfield on Tuesday has kept the Reds on track to deliver their sixth European Cup and reach their first final since 2007.

The 25-year-old has four years left to run on his existing deal with the Merseyside outfit, although there have been reports that Real Madrid are lining up a big summer swoop, with Zinedine Zidane keen to overhaul his squad.

But Fabregas, who overlapped with Salah for one season when the pair were at Chelsea together, doubts who will be able to afford his old team-mate when the window reopens let alone whether or not he will leave the Reds.

"Right now, if you are Liverpool and considering the season he has had, I don't know how much you can ask for a player like him," Fabregas told Spanish radio station Cadena Cope.

"I doubt that there is a club that can pay what Liverpool would ask for Salah.

"I'm sure Liverpool will not let him go easily. It's hard to see Salah leaving Liverpool, at least this year.

"Liverpool exploit his qualities to the maximum. Salah is talented, he is fast, he scores.

"Liverpool have players that open the doors to find Salah the space he needs.

"He has found the right place, the ideal time to shine, and he is doing a great job."

Salah, should he start against Stoke tomorrow, could break the record for most goals scored in a Premier League season (31).
