The Belgian ace is currently out of action with an ankle problem.

But Lukaku is confident he will be back in time to face one of his former clubs Chelsea at Wembley.

The 24-year-old is currently in Antwerp undergoing his rehabilitation in order to return to fitness.

"My recovery is going faster than expected, as always," he told HLN.

United boss Jose Mourinho was confident Lukaku would be fit for the FA Cup final before his side faced Brighton on Friday.

"I just know that of course not [playing] tomorrow," he said.

"Apart from that we need to wait for more scans, more time. FA Cup final? I hope so. Looks positive."

Lukaku has been in good form for Manchester United this season, netting 27 times in all competitions.

The Red Devils take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final on Saturday, May 19.

The game will kick-off at 5.15pm.

Before that United finish their Premier League campaign with matches against West Ham and Watford.

Mourinho has suggested Lukaku will start the FA Cup final after Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial disappointed in the loss to Brighton.

"I think you should be disappointed," he said.

"And when I say you I say media in a general way, because for many months you are always asking me why this player doesn't play, why that player doesn't play, why this player is on the bench, why always Lukaku, why always this guy?

"So I think you should be disappointed more than me because probably I know my players better than you and probably you don't know them so well to be always with these questions."
