Fit-again Puncheon back in contention for Palace
Posted Saturday, May 12, 2018 by PA
Crystal Palace have Jason Puncheon available for Sunday’s visit of West Brom following his recovery from a long-term knee injury that had been expected to end his season.
Connor Wickham is another player in contention, also following a long-term knee injury that means he is yet to make a first-team appearance this season.
At the end of a season disrupted by injury, Palace’s only absentees are Scott Dann with cruciate ligament damage and Bakary Sako because of an ankle problem.
West Brom caretaker manager Darren Moore may make changes for the game.
Albion’s inevitable demotion to the Sky Bet Championship was confirmed when Southampton beat Swansea in midweek, despite an impressive run under the temporary boss.
Gareth Barry (knee) and James Morrison (Achilles) remain Moore’s only casualties, and he admitted he may mix things up against Roy Hodgson’s side.
