Jurgen Klopp is closing in on Nabil Fekir AND Alisson

LIVERPOOL are closing in on Nabil Fekir AND Alisson as Jurgen Klopp looks to continue splashing the cash in the transfer window.

The Reds are set to announce Roma No 1 Alisson as their fourth summer signing this week.

The Brazil international, 25, has already agreed personal terms ahead of penning a five-year contract at Anfield.

Liverpool will fork out a world-record £66.8m for Alisson, with Klopp finally set to land a new No 1 following Loris Karius' horror show in the Champions League final against Real Madrid last season.

And according to Dean Jones of Bleacher Report, the Reds are also closing in on Lyon playmaker Fekir, who almost joined Liverpool before the World Cup in Russia this summer.

He tweeted: "Am told Fekir now progressing well again...

"This could be a defining week for Liverpool."

Liverpool almost signed Fekir this summer, however, the Reds pulled out of their £53m deal at the last minute.

The Reds discovered problems with an old knee injury during the France international's Liverpool medical.

However, Jones claims Klopp is still keen to land the 25-year-old, who won the World Cup with France.

Alisson and Fekir will become Klopp's fourth and fifth summer signings.

The pair will follow Naby Keita, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri to Anfield.

Klopp is keen to spend big this summer to mount a Premier League title charge this season.

The Reds watched Manchester City storm to the title, with Pep Guardiola's side breaking the 100-point barrier on route to the title.
