JUVENTUS hope to prise Marcelo away from Real Madrid by using Cristiano Ronaldo to convince the player into a transfer.

Juventus are keen to sign more players this summer after already breaking the Italian transfer record by capturing Ronaldo.

Ronaldo joined the Serie A giants from Real Madrid in a £105m deal last month.

The transfer has moved Juve into genuine contenders for the Champions League this season.

Real Madrid are experiencing a mini-revolt at the club, with Mateo Kovacic and Luka Modric both wanting to follow Ronaldo through the Bernabeu exit door.

And Marcelo could also join the list of stars seeking to quit Los Blancos.

According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Juventus want to sign Marcelo and believe his strong relationship with Ronaldo can aid the deal.

The right-back has been integral to Real’s European glory in recent years, winning four Champions League titles with the La Liga giants since joining them in 2007.

But an exit could now be on the cards.

Tuttosport claim Juventus will move for Marcelo if and when they sell Alex Sandro to PSG.

Sandro, who saw a £60m move to Chelsea fall through last summer, is expected to leave the Allianz Stadium.

A £45m deal with PSG would raise enough cash for Juve to then go after Marcelo, it is claimed.

Marcelo and Ronaldo formed a dangerous partnership on the left wing for Real Madrid over recent years.

The full-back was often seen bombing past left-sided forward Ronaldo at the Bernabeu.

Marcelo, 30, played for Brazil at the World Cup this summer where they were knocked out in the quarter-finals by Belgium.

The ex-Fluminense star has played for Real practically his whole career.

But with changes happening on and off the field at the Bernabeu it may be time for him to leave.
