Oldham boss Frankie Bunn hopes to welcome back several players from injury in the Sky Bet League Two clash against Macclesfield at Boundary Park on Saturday.
Oldham claimed a point at Forest Green last weekend and were boosted by defender George Edmundson signing a two-year contract extension as they bid to claim their first win of the campaign.
Skipper Peter Clarke sat out the 2-0 Carabao Cup defeat by Derby in midweek with a knee problem and Andy Taylor has also missed the opening three games, while strikers Ishmael Miller and Sam Surridge were both unavailable with hamstring problems.
Latics midfielder Jack Byrne is not in contention after the club confirmed he had breached discipline rules and is now training with the youth team.
Macclesfield boss Mark Yates hopes to build on the Carabao Cup shoot-out win over Bradford and claim their first league points of the season.
New signing Peter Vincenti could make his debut for the Silkmen after not yet featuring following his arrival from Coventry on transfer deadline day.
Midfielder Elliott Durrell is recovering from a groin problem but Yates has no other injury worries.
Goalkeeper Kieran O’Hara could be in contention after his loan from Manchester United was completed this week.
