West Brom boss Moore likely to shuffle squad for visit of McLaren’s QPR

West Brom boss Darren Moore is likely to make changes for a fifth game in 15 days when QPR visit the Hawthorns.

He will have been encouraged by Tuesday’s Carabao Cup win against Luton, with Oliver Burke possibly pushing for a start and left-back Conor Townsend likely to be retained.

Right-back Allan Nyom, meanwhile, was set to complete a season-long loan switch to La Liga side Leganes on Friday.

It leaves Moore thin on the ground in that department and it might give a chance to Craig Dawson this weekend.

New signing Angel Rangel will not be involved for QPR as they look to collect their first points of the league campaign.

Manager Steve McClaren intends giving the ex-Swansea defender some time to gain match sharpness, although Sean Goss could feature, having returned to training after injury.

McClaren saw his team lose their opening two Championship games, but he was boosted by a 2-0 midweek Carabao Cup victory over Peterborough.

He made six changes for that game, with Joe Lumley, Alex Baptiste, Jordan Cousins, Conor Washington, Pawel Wszolek and Bright Osayi-Samuel all giving McClaren food for thought.
