No new injury concerns for Colchester boss John McGreal ahead of Crewe clash

Colchester boss John McGreal could name an unchanged side for the Sky Bet League Two clash against Crewe.
The U’s reverted to the same team which beat Port Vale when they travelled to Mansfield on Saturday, where midfielder Sammie Szmodics scored an equaliser in the fifth minute of stoppage time to earn a 1-1 draw.
Striker Luke Norris could be in contention after impressing as a second-half substitute against the Stags.
Midfielder Tom Lapslie and defender Kane Vincent-Young had both been laid low by a virus last week, but returned to start on Saturday so should be involved again.
Crewe continue to assess defender George Ray as he manages a rib and back problem.
The Railwaymen’s club captain has not featured since the opening match of the season against Morecambe, missing the past three matches, but is now back in light training.
Perry Ng could again provide cover in the centre, with summer signing Nicky Hunt stepping in at right-back.
Forwards Shaun Miller (knee) and Chris Porter (groin) both came off the bench during Saturday’s goalless draw against MK Dons following their injury problems, while midfielder Charlie Kirk is also pressing for a recall.
