Havant and Waterlooville and Salford shared the spoils from a 1-1 draw at West Leigh Park.
Alfie Pavey benefited midway through the first half when Chris Neal failed to parry Bradley Tarbuck’s effort to safety and the ball landed perfectly for the forward a yard out.
The visitors survived a scare when Nicke Kabamba headed against the post. Adam Rooney cashed in for Salford, prodding in from six yards following a corner routine to level.
After the interval, substitute Alfie Rutherford regretted not aiming to either side of Neal when well placed. At the other end, Theo Lewis had to clear Carl Piergianni’s effort off the line as it remained all square.
