Neal Maupay back for Brentford

Brentford forward Neal Maupay is available for Saturday’s visit of Wigan after serving a three-match ban.

The Frenchman was handed a retrospective suspension after appearing to stamp on Aston Villa winger John McGinn in last month’s 2-2 draw.

Rico Henry is also closing in on a return following a serious knee injury but is still not in contention for the clash with the Latics.

Manager Dean Smith has confirmed those Brentford players who were involved in international fixtures all returned unscathed.

Wigan could recall Darron Gibson after the midfielder returned to training after overcoming a groin injury.

Dan Burn (foot) remains absent with the Brighton loanee yet to make his debut for Paul Cook’s side.

Michael Jacobs, Sam Morsy and Joe Garner could all feature following minor complaints.

But Gavin Massey is out having undergone surgery on a hamstring injury.
