Derby County vs Blackburn Rovers - Tom Lawrence suspended for Blackburn clash
Posted Tuesday, September 18, 2018 by PA
Derby will be without suspended forward Tom Lawrence for their home game against Blackburn.
The Wales international was shown a straight red card in the 1-0 weekend defeat at Rotherham and starts a three-game ban.
Boss Frank Lampard, who was also sent off in South Yorkshire, has no new injury concerns while Craig Bryson and David Nugent are in contention for recalls after being omitted from the matchday squad on Saturday.
Defender Curtis Davies (hamstring) and midfielder George Evans (knee) are both still out.
Blackburn pair Ben Brereton and Harrison Reed are pushing for their first starts for the club.
Both summer signings stepped off the bench in Saturday’s home draw against Aston Villa, with Reed making his first Rovers appearance.
Tony Mowbray’s side have not picked up any new injury problems but midfielder Jacob Davenport remains doubtful, while Dominic Samuel and Ben Gladwin (both knee) are long-term absentees.
Derrick Williams, Joe Rothwell and Kasey Palmer are among those pushing for recalls.
