Cardiff City vs Manchester City - Neil Warnock sweating on Cardiff 'niggles'
Posted Saturday, September 22, 2018 by PA
Neil Warnock will make a late call on the Cardiff side to take on Premier League champions Manchester City.
The Cardiff manager says has to assess “one or two niggles” picked up in training, as well as the effects of a virus which has affected the camp this week.
On-loan midfielder Harry Arter should be fit after being forced off by illness at Chelsea last weekend, but Aron Gunnarsson misses out again after suffering another knock in training.
Manchester City will again be without left-back Benjamin Mendy for Saturday’s trip.
The France international has missed the last two games with a foot injury and manager Pep Guardiola is unsure when he will be back in action. Fabian Delph is likely to continue to deputise.
Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne (knee) and goalkeeper Claudio Bravo (Achilles) remain on the long-term injury list.
