Ronaldo sent shockwaves pulsing around the footballing world when he swapped Real Madrid for Juventus in a £105million transfer back in July.

The 33-year-old has endured a difficult start to life in Turin, scoring just twice so far and also receiving a red card against Valencia on his Champions League debut.

And Marca have now delved into Cristiano Ronaldo’s state of mind - as well as those in his inner circle.

He reportedly feels people’s attitude towards him have changed and he has been “persecuted" since his decision to leave Real.

Ronaldo was livid when he missed out on the UEFA Player of the Year award to Luka Modric.

The Portugal international supposedly felt he should scoop the prize instead, despite Modric helping Croatia to the World Cup final in the summer.

He also reportedly feels his dismissal against Valencia was UEFA’s way of getting revenge for the Modric argument.

When Ronaldo found out his former team-mate would win the gong, he decided not to attend the ceremony.

And Marca claim he now thinks that he may not win the Best FIFA Men’s Player award either.

Meanwhile, Real president Florentino Perez has opened up on Ronaldo’s departure.

And he had strong words for fans who believe he should have only let the player go for £1billion - his buyout clause.

"The release clauses are not there to be paid. If there has to be sale, it is negotiated," he said.

"We did not want to sell him, but he wanted to go for personal reasons and we understood that, for all the good things he had done, we had to open the door for him.

"We got the highest value we could."

Ronaldo can bounce back from his Valencia woes when Juventus face Frosinone tomorrow.

The Serie A outfit have won all of their league matches so far to sit top of the table.
