Bernard set for full debut in Everton’s Carabao Cup clash with Southampton

Brazil forward Bernard could make his full Everton debut in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup clash against Southampton at Goodison Park.
Boss Marco Silva should ring the changes from Saturday’s 3-0 Premier League win over Fulham, where ex-Shakhtar star Bernard provided a lively cameo.
Maarten Stekelenburg should step up in goal and Cenk Tosun could start after netting against Fulham, though Andre Gomes (hamstring), Yerry Mina and Seamus Coleman (both foot) are unlikely to be ready to feature.
Southampton boss Mark Hughes is expected to make changes.
Angus Gunn, Matt Targett and Stuart Armstrong could all start in a tie that will see the winners travel to Leicester in the fourth round.
Shane Long (toe) is unlikely to be risked after missing Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Wolves while Danny Ings, Alex McCarthy and Nathan Redmond could all be rested.
