Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof and stunning WAG Maja announce they are expecting a baby

VICTOR LINDELOF and stunning wife Maja Nilsson have announced they are expecting their first child, just months after their wedding.

The pair have posted the news on Instagram, during a season where Lindelof has been under fire along with the rest of Manchester United's defence.

But the happily-married couple looked delighted with the news as they posted similar black and white selfies on Insta, to the delight of fans.

Maja posted on her website: "At last, I can tell you that I and Victor will be parents in April (now I cry again).

"It is so big and amazing that we can barely take it in.

"While it's so big, it feels like we've known about it for so long now that the shock has subsided and that it feels completely natural.

"Being parents is the only reality I can imagine right now.

"The only feeling bigger than anything else is love. I already love my baby so much that it sometimes hurts in my heart.

"My beloved little baby. Like I'll be Mom. And Victor Dad.

"I am just so happy (and tired) and it feels so nice to finally tell you about what has taken up all my thought activities in the past two months.

"While I just want to fast-forward the future to spring, I want to stay it, because I've probably never been as happy as I'm right now."

The 24-year-old was on the bench as United fought back from 2-0 down to claim 3-2 victory over Newcastle at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Lindelof has been in and out of the team this season, but has not been the worst culprit in United's defence, or team as a whole.

Sweden are due to play Russia in the Nations League on Thursday before facing Slovakia in a friendly on Tuesday, having lost three games on the bounce, including the World Cup defeat to England.

Lindelof and long-term girlfriend Maja got married over the summer, after getting engaged following his arrival at United in the summer of 2017.

Self-branded social "influencer" Maja has her own branded website and records podcasts in Swedish, fuelling her popularity as one of the country's most prominent football WAGs.

She keeps a keen eye on her husband's career as well, watching games from her box at Old Trafford, which the couple have auctioned off for charity.

And during days off the pair have gone sightseeing in cities around Europe including Paris and London.

But after flopping in Manchester United's 3-1 loss at West Ham, then being benched against Valencia and Newcastle, Lindelof will want to fight his way back into the first team following the international break.
