Not important to Pogba
Paul Pogba has claimed he does not need to be the captain of a side to express his feelings and help the team.
It comes on the back of being stripped of the vice-captaincy at Man United. He was also told that as long as Jose Mourinho remains in charge at the club, he would never wear the armband again.
However, Pogba has noted that he's never skippered France – and that hasn't stopped him being a leader.
The Express report he said: "I've never played in the France team to be captain, being here is already a big thing for me.
"You don't have to be captain in order to speak, a leader is not someone who has the armband.
"As a leader you can talk on the pitch but I've seen leaders who didn't necessarily talk."
France joy vs United misery
The situation for Pogba at United is of course a huge contrast to the one with his national side.
France are on the back of winning the World Cup.
After initially being questioned in the opening game of the World Cup, Pogba went on to have a great tournament.
His time at United has been up and down, with his relationship with Mourinho getting worse as time goes on.
Now, despite Mourinho still being in charge at the club, there are still rumours of huge discontent between the two.
