Rigg’s goal does for Havant & Waterlooville

Havant & Waterlooville were unlucky to see their winless run extend to seven after a 1-0 defeat at home to Gateshead.
Steve Watson’s visitors rode their luck early on when Nicke Kabamba picked out his strike partner Alfie Pavey to judder the upright.
Despite their bad sequence, Lee Bradbury’s men remained on the front foot and Will Wood hit just wide with a long-range effort.
The Tynesiders turned the tables after the break and Steve Rigg hit the post from Jon Mellish’s pass.
Rigg went one better seconds later, heading in at the back post to put his side one up just short of the hour.
The Hawks remain rooted in the relegation zone after this latest reverse.
