Saeid Ezatolahi will miss Reading’s Championship clash with Millwall after picking up a knock on international duty with Iran.
The 22-year-old could be sidelined for several weeks due to an unspecified issue picked up in training during on international duty.
Royals boss Paul Clement believes Josh Sims is pushing Sone Aluko close for a starting berth in midfield.
Jon Dadi Bodvarsson (calf), Sam Baldock (calf) and John O’Shea (hamstring) will all miss out this weekend.
Mahlon Romeo will be fit to feature for Millwall, despite nursing a groin complaint while away on international duty with Antigua and Barbuda.
The full-back did not feature while away however, and has trained fully all week.
Central defender Shaun Hutchinson should be fit after long-term knee trouble.
Striker Tom Bradshaw netted twice in action for the Under-23s against Watford last Friday, and is pushing for a start.
