Motherwell defender Charles Dunne remains on the casualty list against Dundee as he continues to struggle with a groin problem.
Aaron Taylor-Sinclair and Andy Rose are unavailable with hamstring injuries while Liam Donnelly (groin) also sits out the Ladbrokes Premiership clash.
Long-term absentee Craig Tanner (knee) and Alex Gorrin (knock) miss out.
New Dundee signing Martin Woods will go straight into Jim McIntyre’s squad.
The former Ross County midfielder has signed a short-term deal until January but while he might feature, defender Josh Meekings has again been ruled out with a hip injury.
Nathan Ralph and Paul McGowan are also both still short of fitness following recent injury problems.
