Luton striker Danny Hylton banned for Wycombe tie

Luton will be without the suspended Danny Hylton for Saturday’s FA Cup first-round home clash with Wycombe.

The striker begins a ban after being shown a straight red card in last weekend’s 0-0 draw at Rochdale.

The suspension means that in addition to this weekend’s match and League One fixtures against Plymouth and Gillingham, Hylton will also not be available for the Checkatrade Trophy game at Peterborough on Tuesday.

Defender Dan Potts (groin) remains sidelined and it looks unlikely midfielder Luke Berry (knee) will be making his comeback on Saturday.

Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth has said striker Adebayo Akinfenwa and defender Michael Harriman have “a very good chance” of playing in the tie.

Having picked up knocks in the 3-2 League One loss at Walsall on October 27, the pair sat out last weekend’s 1-0 win over Peterborough and the 3-0 Checkatrade Trophy defeat to Oxford on Tuesday.

Nathan Tyson and Anthony Stewart could also make their returns to action.

Forward Tyson and defender Stewart have been back in full training after hamstring and thigh injuries respectively.
