OLEKSANDR USYK capped off a stunning weekend in Manchester by joining his City heroes for a celebration after the derby.

The Ukrainian defeated Tony Bellew last night in front of a sold out Manchester Arena to retain his crown as undisputed cruiserweight king.

The Ukrainian retained his status as king of the cruiserweights by defeating Tony Bellew at the Manchester Arena last night

The 31-year-old delivered a devastating blow to knock out Bomber in the eighth and send the Liverpool fighter in to retirement.

And the City-mad Usyk toasted his victory today by accepting the club's invitation to watch his heroes take on bitter rivals United at the Etihad.

David Silva got City off to a flyer when breaking the deadlock with just 12 minutes on the clock before Sergio Aguero doubled the advantage moments after the break.

The Red Devils got back in to from the penalty spot courtesy of Anthony Martial but Ilkay Gundogan took advantage of some static defending to grab the third late on following a 44-pass move.

That result lifted Pep Guardiola's side back to the top of the Premier League, and the victorious Cityzens were only too happy to invite one of their hardest-hitting supporters in to the dressing-room after claiming local bragging rights.

City's resident joker Benjamin Mendy was one of the first to greet Usyk.

And the fun-loving French full-back even showing the champ some neat handy-work of his own.

Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson, who gave away the penalty after hauling down Romelu Lukaku, also posed for a fist-clench with Usyk.

The stopper and his team-mates are now preparing to head off for international duty before returning to action at West Ham on November 24.

Meanwhile Usyk is set to return home for some time off after his "most difficult" year in boxing.

The undefeated star has won four fights over the last 14 months with rumours mounting he is set to step up to heavyweight.
