Jordan Hallam’s goal earned Chesterfield a point from a 1-1 draw against Eastleigh in the Vanarama National League.
Eastleigh took the lead after 12 minutes when a Mark Yeates corner was flicked on and Alex Wynter headed in at the back post.
Six minutes later Chesterfield goalkeeper Callum Burton pulled off a fine reflex save to keep out Paul McCallum’s powerful header from another Yeates corner.
Chesterfield were level three minutes before the break when Hallam placed the ball beyond the reach of Max Stryjek after being set up by Jerome Binnom-Williams, but, despite going close several times in the second half, the visitors could not find the winner.
