Fielding back in contention as Bristol City look to end losing run at Ipswich

Ipswich have no fresh injury worries as Paul Lambert continues his search for a first win in charge of the Tractor Boys against Bristol City.

Lambert is waiting to see whether forward Ellis Harrison and Myles Kenlock, who have both missed the majority of the season so far with ankle injuries, will be fit enough to return.

Teddy Bishop was given a run-out as a substitute in Friday’s loss to West Brom following a hamstring injury and is pushing for a start as is Kayden Jackson, who scored Ipswich’s goal.

Eighteen-year-old forward Jack Lankester made his third appearance off the bench in the same game but Lambert is wary of pushing him too hard.

City will be without Josh Brownhill as they attempt to end their losing run.

The midfielder was sent off after being shown a second yellow card 10 minutes into the second half of the 2-0 loss at Leeds on Saturday, City’s fourth reverse in a row, and must serve a one-match ban.

Goalkeeper Frankie Fielding is finally back in full training after missing the whole of the season so far, first through injury and then viral meningitis.

Captain Bailey Wright could come into contention for his first appearance of the season following thigh surgery but Matty Taylor is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.
