Solihull Moors boss Tim Flowers not interested in FA Cup second round just yet

Solihull Moors boss Tim Flowers admits he will not be watching the FA Cup third-round draw on Monday despite his non-league side holding Blackpool to a 0-0 stalemate on Friday night.
But the former Premier League winner did at least allow himself some pride at his side’s achievement after the National League outfit more than matched their League One opponents to earn a replay and a place in Monday’s draw.
He said: “I thought it was a cracking FA Cup game, which could have gone either way.
“Both sides had chances. Both sides opened up a little bit the more the game went on. But I am very proud of our efforts, it was an incredible performance by us and I think we played well.
“I won’t be watching the draw on Monday I will be focusing on our game with Harrogate on Tuesday but still it’s something for the fans to look forward to.”
The biggest talking point came in the first half when Solihull had a goal disallowed as Darren Carter was ruled to be offside from a short corner before his cross was volleyed in by Alex Gudger.
Blackpool came close through Joe Dodoo and Armand Gnanduillet before a frantic finish to the 90 minutes saw both sides waste golden opportunities.
And Blackpool boss Terry McPhillips said: “We knew it was going to be a difficult game and it was just that.
“We didn’t really click in the first half but we improved in the second and had some good chances but they made some good saves and blocks. The replay isn’t ideal but it’s the way it is.”
